What Does Excellent Piano Instruction Look Like?
Are you continuing your studies hoping to tackle some of the technical difficulties that haunt you? Perhaps you've always wanted to play and are finally ready to take the leap! Is there a child in the family interested in what playing the piano is all about?
My name is Laura and I've been teaching for over 23 years. Students have been very young...and not so young. It doesn't matter when you start. It's about learning and understanding how to work in a way that gets you the results you want.
I can show you the tools!
I offer a courtesy 'get-acquainted' session to see if my approach and your expectations are a good fit!

STUDENT REVIEWS
One of the best decisions that I have made as an adult is to take piano lessons, and I was very fortunate to find Laura She's a wonderful musician, and a gifted teacher. While the process of learning an instrument as an adult can be challenging, Laura has made it fun and enjoyable. She is very accommodating regarding scheduling, and since she comes to my house for lessons it couldn't be more convenient. I recommend Laura to anyone wanting to learn piano -- you won't be disappointed.

In a word, "Amazing." My journey began with Laura when we engaged her to introduce piano to our granddaughter. I was so impressed with her skill and ability that I signed up for lessons. My experience with Laura has been truly amazing. Like the "Oracle," her instruction is unique to each student providing them with what they need to push beyond barriers. My time with Laura is cherished and I look forward to my weekly lessons.

Laura is an excellent piano teacher for both myself (44) and my two kids (6 and 10). She keeps things friendly and fresh with a wide range of music, and a method that emphasizes skill building over rote drills. I've seen a ton of improvement in both myself and my kids in less than a year.

Laura has been teaching piano to my 8-yr-old daughter and 10-yr-old son for the past three years, coming to our home for one-on-one lessons and then switching to remote instruction. The transition to remote learning has been very smooth. We appreciate that Laura has a very systematic approach to teaching piano and builds good technique skills patiently and methodically. She is thorough and instructive, and tailors the lessons to fit the students’ needs. We can see both kids progress steadily and continue to gain confidence from her encouragement. Thank you, Laura, for making piano part of our life and for instilling a lifelong appreciation of music. We highly recommend Laura!
